Lots of people don't, and that's not their fault. Some supplements get around disclosing exactly how much of each ingredient is in their product by listing them as a “proprietary blend”. This requires them to list only the total weight of the blend, so you can’t see how much of each herb or extract you’re supposed to be getting. Testing is required by FDA, but using an independent third party to do the testing is voluntary. And there is no requirement whatsoever to show you any test results–so most companies won’t.

Layne Kilpatrick, RPh
I spent four decades as a compounding pharmacist, and the last twenty specializing in hormone therapy management. About ten years into my clinical specialty, I noticed something I couldn’t explain: the patients coming to me with hormone problems were getting younger.
So I went looking for answers. The research led me to endocrine disruptors—chemicals in our food, water, and household products that mimic our own hormones and confound the body’s signaling.
What I learned there became the education millions of people now know me for. I go deep into the studies, filter them through my clinical experience, then hand you the critical things worth changing in your space. Simple and actionable, always.
Social media let me do at scale what I never could from behind a pharmacy counter. One video now reaches more people than walked through my doors in a decade.
Over my career I’ve also watched our food lose ground. High-yield crops and the steady replacement of real food with processed food have left many people falling short on their intake of nutrients that matter for hormones and overall health. But when I looked at the supplement industry for solutions, I found products that didn’t contain what their labels claimed. I also personally witnessed bad manufacturing behavior.

I spent fifteen years alongside Layne in the compounding pharmacy, largely out of sight: vetting suppliers, managing the lab, reading certificates of analysis, and running the quality control that decides whether a raw material gets used or sent back.
When Layne set out to say publicly what he'd learned over four decades, my job was to deliver it. I learned videography, produced the videos, and worked with Layne on content development.
When it came time to turn Layne's formulas into real products, I took them from whiteboard to shelf: finding manufacturers who could meet the standard, testing what we made, and publishing the results.
Despite what you may think, we are a two-man show, and together we do what needs to be done. I make sure Layne's standard runs through everything the company makes and says. I hold an exercise science degree and I love practical applications!
